This condition is characterized by poor vision in low-light or nighttime environments, similar to chickens that are unable to see in dim conditions — hence the name “night blindness.”
Causes of Night Blindness:
It can be inherited genetically
It may be a symptom of other underlying diseases
Can occur due to vitamin A deficiency (avitaminosis)
Congenital night blindness is typically not treatable
Factors that contribute to night blindness include:
Eye strain

Nervous system disorders
