Check-Up for Women

Hormones control the function of all organs by affecting various processes such as growth and development, fertilization, and sexual functions. Even a very small amount of a hormone can lead to significant reactions in the body.
For these reasons, it is absolutely necessary to monitor the status of hormones in the body.

17-Hydroxyprogesterone (17-OHP) is a steroid hormone produced during the process of cortisol synthesis. Many enzymes participate in the synthesis of cortisol.

DHEA-S (Dehydroepiandrosterone Sulfate) is an androgen hormone of the adrenal gland. It is synthesized in the cortex of the adrenal gland. The level of this hormone is an indicator of the adrenal gland’s androgen-synthetic activity.

LH – Luteinizing Hormone (LH) is a glycoprotein gonadotropin produced by basophilic cells in the anterior pituitary under the influence of the hypothalamic releasing factor.

Testosterone – In women, it participates in the mechanism of follicular regression in the ovaries and in the regulation of the level of the pituitary gonadotropins.

Free T4 is one of the most important stimulators of protein synthesis. It is synthesized by the follicular cells of the thyroid gland under the control of TSH.

TSH (Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone) regulates the secretion of thyroid hormones (thyroxine and triiodothyronine). Thyroid hormones are the main regulators of energy expenditure in the body; having them at the appropriate concentrations is extremely important for the normal functioning of all organs.

FSH – Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH) is a glycoprotein gonadotropin of the pituitary gland. In men, it stimulates spermatogenesis, while in women, it stimulates follicular development.

Estradiol (E2) is one of the sex steroid hormones. In women, it is synthesized in the ovaries, placenta, and adrenal glands. Its synthesis is regulated by the hormones FSH, LH, and prolactin.

Prolactin is a polypeptide hormone that stimulates the proliferation of the mammary gland and milk secretion. It is produced in the anterior pituitary gland and, in small amounts, in peripheral tissues.

Cortisol is a hormone produced in the adrenal cortex. It protects the body from stress, regulates blood pressure levels, and is involved in protein, fat, and carbohydrate metabolism.
