Guidelines for Successful Vaccination

Before Vaccination:

  • Make sure your child undergoes a medical check-up to confirm they are healthy.

  • For children prone to allergies or diathesis, administer a physician-prescribed age-appropriate dose of a desensitizing agent for 3 days before vaccination.

  • If your child understands, explain the procedure honestly instead of deceiving them. Experience shows that children who are misled resist more strongly, leading to more pronounced local reactions.

During Vaccination:

  • Ensure your child is calm and remains still while lying down or sitting to prevent needle displacement and minimize local reactions.

  • Do not rub the injection site afterward.

  • Avoid touching the injection site until it is covered with a bandage or plaster.

After Vaccination:

  • Avoid bathing your child for 3 days and prevent water contact with the injection site.

  • Monitor body temperature; contact your doctor if it rises.

  • Reward children who behave well during vaccination—it increases their willingness to participate next time.

If you notice redness, swelling, warmth, or hardening at the injection site, you may apply an iodine grid during the first 24 hours. If symptoms persist, cleanse with 95° alcohol and apply a compress soaked in a 1:1 solution, changing it every 2–4 hours.
If swelling or redness exceeds 5 cm, consult your physician immediately.

Pediatrician

A pediatrician is a specialist dedicated to children's health, from birth through adolescence. Pediatricians diagnose, treat, and help prevent childhood illnesses while also monitoring developmental milestones. They provide parents with essential guidance and propose suitable treatment plans to improve children’s quality of life.

Pediatricians play a key role in addressing common pediatric concerns such as fever, respiratory infections, allergies, digestive problems, and weakened immunity. Timely detection and treatment of illnesses are crucial to ensuring your child’s healthy future.

Regular check-ups with professional pediatricians are strongly recommended. By consulting the pediatricians at Sağlam Ailə, you can ensure your child grows up healthy and well-supported.
