Do not use cleansing or medicinal enemas, laxatives, activated charcoal, iron (Fe), copper (Cu), bismuth (Bi) preparations, or rectal suppositories containing oils before collecting the sample.
The sample must be collected at least 2 days after a colonoscopy or gastrointestinal X-ray examination.
Contamination with urine or menstrual blood is strictly prohibited.
The stool sample must be collected in a disposable, sterile, and tightly sealed container.
Prevent contact with urine or external genital secretions.
After collection, the sample should be delivered to the clinic within 2 hours.
In cold weather: if delivery is delayed (but not exceeding 8 hours), the sample can be stored in a cool place.
In warm weather: store in a refrigerator at +4 to +8 °C.
In both cases, the exact time of collection must be indicated.
For helminth (worm) detection, the stool sample must be delivered within 2 hours.
For worm detection, it is recommended to repeat the test 3 times at 1–2 day intervals.
For amebiasis diagnosis, it is recommended to test up to 6 times.
