Unfortunately, the spread of the coronavirus pandemic continues to rise worldwide, including in our country. To combat this issue and prevent further outbreaks, a strict quarantine regime has been enforced.
While staying at home is a crucial measure to reduce virus transmission, it has also led to a significant decline in blood donations, affecting thousands of children suffering from thalassemia.
Recognizing this urgent need, on April 10, 2020, employees of Saglam Ailə Medical Center, along with other volunteers, donated blood at the National Center of Hematology and Transfusiology – Blood Bank. This initiative aimed to support children battling thalassemia and hemophilia, while adhering to strict quarantine protocols.
