On May 17, 2017, the State Committee for Family, Women, and Children Affairs and the Executive Authority of Sumgait jointly organized the conference "Key Trends of the Millennium: The Institution of Family and Marriage", dedicated to the International Day of Families, celebrated on May 15.
Purpose of the Conference:

- Raising public awareness on family-related issues
- Promoting national and spiritual values
- Strengthening family values in society
