On June 26, in honor of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, an awareness event was held under the slogan "A Future Without Drugs – A Healthy Future!". The event was jointly organized by the Nasimi District Organization of the New Azerbaijan Party, the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription, and Saglam Ailə Medical Center.
Raising Awareness on Drug Prevention
According to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), drug use is most prevalent among adolescents and young adults aged 18 to 25. One of our primary goals is to identify and support young people struggling with harmful habits, help them access treatment, and educate the public about the dangers of drug addiction.
The fight against drug addiction is a top priority of Azerbaijan’s state policy, aiming to build a healthier generation. It is not just an initiative but an ongoing part of our national social policy.
