On April 9, 2016, the Central Blood Bank of the B. Eyvazov Institute of Hematology and Transfusiology, the Executive Power of the Nasimi District, and Saglam Ailə Medical Center organized a voluntary blood donation campaign.
Representatives of government agencies, businesses, and organizations operating in the Nasimi District, as well as Saglam Ailə Medical Center staff and volunteers, joined this humanitarian initiative to support those in urgent need of blood donations.
Hematologists from the Central Blood Bank’s specialized medical team collected blood from donors after conducting health screenings to ensure donor eligibility.
This blood donation campaign aligns with Azerbaijan’s ongoing efforts to provide safe and high-quality blood for individuals in critical need, including:
✔ Injured individuals
✔ Accident victims
✔ Patients with hemophilia and thalassemia
A total of approximately 200 people participated in the donation drive. The collected blood samples will undergo laboratory testing before being used for medical purposes.
